Product Description

The Electronic Control Module (ECM) with part numbers 5WY8769-EAF, AA61-12A650, and A2C53395661 is an OEM engine control unit designed for the Ford Fiesta WT 1.6-litre (HXJB), model years 2010-2013. It is part of the EMS2205 system (Siemens / Continental-Siemens) and is responsible for managing vital engine functions including fuel injection, ignition timing, sensor data, emissions control, idle regulation, diagnostics (OBD), and error reporting.

Typical issues indicating ECM failure include failure to start, no communication via diagnostic tools, intermittent power loss, or engine misbehavior.

This unit is usually supplied refurbished or used, tested for proper electronic and logic operation. Some reprogramming or calibration may be required to match software version, VIN, and immobilizer setup.
