2218702192 / 2168204326 / 2214422611 Mercedes W216 CL550 CL63 Seat Control Module.

Product Description

The Seat Multi-Contour Control Module (also called seat ECU / seat control unit) with OEM part numbers 2218702192, 2168204326, and 2214422611 is used in premium Mercedes vehicles for multi-contour / massage / lumbar adjustment features in front seats. This control module regulates air bladders, actuators, and contour adjustments to provide enhanced ergonomics, support, and custom comfort settings.

These modules are typically sourced in used or refurbished condition. Before installation, the unit should be matched carefully by part number, orientation (left/right seat), software version, and connector pin configuration. Many modules also require calibration to the seat’s pneumatic/hydraulic systems, memory module settings, and vehicle networks (CAN bus). Swapping an unmatched module may disable massage, contour, or memory functions.

Compatibility / Notes Table

Vehicle / Application	Seat Position	Year Range	Part Numbers / Variants	Notes / Observations
Mercedes-Benz W221 (S-Class)	Front Left / Right	~2007 – 2009	2218702192	Commonly used in multi-contour / massage seat option modules.
Mercedes-Benz W221 / W216	Front Seat (multi-contour option)	~2007 – 2010	2168204326	Used conjunction with 221870… modules in seat control system.

Important notes & tips:

Check seat side: Some modules are left-seat specific or right-seat specific.
Confirm that the connector pin layout and wiring harness match exactly.
The control unit often contains calibration data for the seat’s pneumatic / actuator layout; exchanging it without calibration may lead to improper or non-functional contours.
After installation, a diagnostic tool (e.g. Mercedes STAR / DAS / Xentry) may be required to activate, code, or initialize the module to the vehicle.
Physical condition is important—check for water damage, broken solder joints, or worn connectors.
It’s a good idea to capture and preserve the module’s configuration (if possible) before removing the original unit.
