A0245453232 / 0281010283 Mercedes‑Benz ML Class ECU Engine Control Unit.

Product Description

This is an OEM Engine Control Unit (ECU) bearing the Mercedes part number A0245453232 (also shown as A 024 545 32 32) and Bosch / Bosch-type number 0281010283 (0 281 010 283).

Designed for the ML Class 2.7 CDI (diesel) – for example the W163 chassis with engine code 2.7 CDI and Bosch EDC15C6 management (CR2.14).

This unit manages crucial engine operations: fuel injection timing, turbo/boost control, sensor monitoring, emission regulation, and diagnostic protocols. It’s typically offered as a used or tested OEM unit. When replacing your ECU, you should:

Confirm the exact part number on the original unit matches A0245453232 or the Bosch number 0281010283.
Ensure your vehicle’s engine code, wiring harness, and immobilizer/immobilizer matching status align with the donor unit.
Be aware that many sellers list both “locked” and “unlocked” variants. The locked variant may require return of your original ECU, immobilizer unit, or key programming.
After installation, you may need proper diagnostics and adaptation for the ECU to fully function and communicate with other modules (e.g., immobiliser, CAN network).

Compatibility / Notes Table

Potentially other Mercedes models using same Bosch ECU family	–	–	Same part numbers	Cross-application may exist, but always verify compatibility

Important Notes & Recommendations

Even when the part number matches, software version, immobilizer coding, and vehicle-specific data may differ. Many installations of this ECU require cloning or programming.
If the ECU is “locked”, you may need to supply your original ECU, keys, and/or immobilizer unit to the supplier for pre-programming.
Before purchasing, ask for photos of the unit label showing the part number, HW/SW version, and confirm the condition (no water damage, pins intact).
After installation: Clear all fault codes, test engine behavior, sensor readings (boost, injection), and ensure no “Start error” or immobilizer fault messages
